Online Off-campus 2018-2019 MP BE Counselling Process / Details
Madhya Pradesh Technical Education Board will start the Counselling for the 75,000 seats for Bachelor in Engineering ( BE ) as against last year’s 98,602 seats cutting short as many as 23,602 seats which the concerned colleges have surrendered due to vacant seats last year.
The data given above about seats is of previous year. So it is changeable. Counselling for MP BE and other courses has already begun. from 02/06/2018. The board has published some directions for the candidates which we have published below –

The online registration for these seats to give admission to various engineering colleges in the state will commence on 2nd of June. The detailed scheduled regarding this Counseling and Registration has been uploaded so far. It is expected that the Board will upload this information after the CBSE 12th Class 2018 Result which may be out on 20th of May.
Last year there were around 98,900 seats were there for which the Registration had to take place. But only 47,940 seats ( approx ) were filled. So viewing this the colleges surrendered around 23,000 seats.

The Principal of one of the Reputed Institutes inform us in the condition of anonymity that most of the seats remain vacant due to flood of Colleges in the state. Secondly the students take admission putting many conditions and undergoing bargaining.
This has made the situation tougher. The another reason of the seats lying vacant is the decrease in the demand of the engineers in the private firms with good reputation. The students only end getting jobs with petty salaries. Good jobs are grabbed by IITians and those who have done their degree from other premier institutes.
There is another problem related with the MP BE Counseiling is that the All India Technical Education Council ( AICTE ) has not received the list of the Recognized colleges for the courses of BE and other Technical Courses. The next process of giving admission will start only after this list reaches the concerned department, said an official. The list may reach before or on 20th of May.
