SSC CGL 2017 Official Notification – Apply Online, Important Dates

Staff Selection Commission ( SSC ) one of the largest Recruitment Central Agencies has swung in to action today with the Notification for the Combined Graduate Level Exam for the year 2017.

This has been the much-awaited Notification from the Graduate Students who have been toiling hard to fulfill their dreams of joining Govt Jobs through SSC. It is remarkable that every year million of graduate youngsters apply for this exam. This test is very competitive in nature.

As per the SSC Notification, the CGL Tier 1 Exam may take place in April /May 2017. The online applications shall be filled from the date of notification. The last date shall be one month after the date of notification. For more details regarding check the links given at the end of this blog post.

Download SSC CGL Notification, Exam DatesHere it is very necessary to inform the aspirants of the SSC CGL that the Selection Procedure shall have two Written exam followed by the Interview. First of all the candidates will have to sit in the CGL Tier 1 Exam.

The candidates who would be able to crack this first test shall be allowed to sit in the Tier II Exam which shall be held in the one month period from the Result of the Tier I Exam Result. The successful candidates will face the Tier III Exam. This exam shall be Descriptive and qualifying in nature. It will carry 100 marks & in Bilingual mode (English & Hindi Language) . Minimum qualifying marks for this exam are Thirty three.

The Aggregate merit will depend upon the performance in the Tier I, Tier II and Tier III The cut off is extremely high giving the message of cut-throat competition. Especially in the General Category, the candidates with more than 80% marks could not reach the final stage.

SSC CGL Tier 1 shall contain 200 Questions which shall be of 200 marks with the subjects – English Grammar, Reasoning, Arithmetic and General Knowledge. In CGL 2 there shall be two subjects viz English and Maths. This paper will be of 400 Marks – 200 for English and 200 ( 100 Questions) for Mathematics.
