Institute of Company Secretaries of India ( ICSI ) has decided to initiate a new Scholarship Programmes for the Students of Commerce in the manner of Science Students who get scholarships after participating in various Scholarship Exams in the country.
So far there was no such competition for the commerce students clearing which they could have got scholarship. ICSI shall commence a Competition meant for Commerce Students in 2016. As per the information we have received, the competition may be held in January or February.
On the basis of this Competition, the company will select Top 20 students who would be provided the Entry level of Company Secretary Course besides a handsome Scholarship of Rs 5000/-. Even the students who would be able to get through this Entry Level Exam CS would further be provided the Scholarship of Rs 5000/- for Professional Level as well.
What shall be the Commerce Competitive Exam Pattern and Syllabus –
Obviously it shall be the Objective Type Paper. The students of 12th class will participate in the exam. The syllabus of the exam shall be prepared from 11th and 12th classes. So far the exam marks and timing of the exam have been confirmed. The main motive of conducting this exam is to encourage to commerce students to do professional courses like Company Secretary.
How to apply for this Competition ?
The interested candidates shall be able to register themselves for this Commerce Competition Exam in January 2016. The Registration shall be both online and offline. For offline Registration the students shall get the Application Forms in the schools. The scholarship shall be awarded only to those students who would pursue the CS Course. Those who would be unwilling to do this course be given cash prize.
