UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission ) will hold the NDA I ( National Defence Academy ) and NA ( Naval Academy ) Written Exam on 23rd of April 2017 with a large no of Examinees trying their luck to get admissions in either of the academics for Admission.

This is one of the most prestigious exams held to give recruitment to various branches of Indian Army – Air Force, Navy etc depending upon the rank and cut off obtained by the aspirants.
There is much craze among the students who have passed 12th with any of the streams for NDA and NA. Before the recruitment a stiff training is provided in the NDA and NA Institute. But Everything depends upon the Result and Cut Off. The Higher the cut off, the candidates’ have more chances for grabbing better seats in the Defence Academies.

The Seats in NDA and NA are divided as below –
The National Defence Academy there are total 320 Seats. These seats are divided in to three Armed Forces. For Army there are 320 Seats, for Air Force 70 and for Navy 42. In the same way, there total 55 Seats ( 12th any of the streams ) for Naval Academy. There are total 375 Seats for which thousands of the students from across the country giving tough competition to each other.
There are uncountable coaching centres in the country where the parents of the aspirants dish out exorbitant amount in order to ensure the place of their wards in these most reputed National Academies. The candidates who clear the Written Exam are selected for the next Exam that is SSB Test.
Check last Years’ NDA and NA Cut Offs
The Cut off for the First Written Exam of NDA and NA lies somewhere 290 to 310 whereas for SSB Test it remains somewhere 670 or 680. The trend is that during the last many years the cut off is going down. In 2010 the NDA/ NA Cut Off was 263, in 2011 it was 290, in 2012 the Cut off was 335, in 2013 the Cut Off for NA and NDA was 333 and in 2014 it was 283. So the 2015 Cut Off would be worth seeing.
