The Punjab and Haryana High Court today put a full stop on the result of TGT English Recruitment Result. In addition to that the court has released notice to the Haryana Govt to give its reply by 23rd of January 2018.
The petitioners have appealed in another batch after their appeal refused in a single bench of the court. The petitioners Poonam and others had said in their appeal that the govt had asked for the applications for TGT English 694 Posts. According to the advertisement, only those candidates having B.Ed with English as a voluntary subject.
However, the candidates who had English in their graduation had applied for these posts. But most of the candidates could not apply for the posts as they were not eligible as per the conditions given in the recruitment notice. The candidates with compulsory English had taken Feb 2016 exam and passed.
In the mean time, the state govt had released the corrigendum saying that those having compulsory
English were also eligible for the posts. Even the govt took interview of such candidates. The advocate of the petitioners said that due to the previous conditions, most of the candidates couldn’t apply for these posts. That’s why they felt shocked. They didn’t have any way except going to the High Court.
The High Court listened to their case properly and took this decision. It has provided a great relief to these candidates. However, it has hung the sword of uncertainty of this recruitment. Nobody knows now what will happen. As it is a big point, the govt can take the written exam again. Or it may exclude the candidates without compulsory English in their graduation. The single bench had also said that the petitioners must file the petition before the test.
