New Exam Pattern for CBSE 9th/10th Classes Exam ( 2018-2019) – Get More Information / News

CBSE has made a big change in the pattern of the exam of the secondary class ( 9th Class ). This new pattern will come into effect from this year ( 2018-2019). The first thing the CBSE has done to change CCE ( Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation ). These changes are related with subjects and also with marks.

As the 9th class will follow this system from this year, the students of 10th class will taste this new pattern from the next year. It means when these students will be in the Matric. CBSE has done the biggest changes in the syllabus of English Language. Now the students of 9th class will have the option of one subject instead of 2 subjects.

According to the Board, so far, there used to be the two cords i.e. 101 and 184. CBSE has scrapped 101 code. Now only 184 code is necessary for the students to read. Code 101 was focused on Communicative English. Even value based questions have no place in the curriculum of IX class.

CBSE New Syllabus / Pattern for 9th and 10th final exams 2018-2019 sessions

The students will find only course related questions in the final exam. Earlier there would be some questions from outside which were value based. Moreover, the board has ended the foundation IT paper. Now there shall be only Computer Foundation Paper.

The regional officer of CBSE Dehradun told the reporters that this pattern will be applicable from this session whereas in 10th class from the next session.

Marks in the Writing Test –

The written test shall be of 80 marks. There shall be the Practical of 20 marks. These 20 marks will contain the average of all the tests, 5 marks for subject based assignment and 5 marks for homework.

Syllabus of English –

In the new pattern, there is much emphasis on Literature. For that NCERT has prepared two books. One Part contains only stories. The second contains both stories and poems. Even the NCERT has decided the rates of both books. Each book will be of Rs 100.
