- For Male Constables – 4500
- Female Constables – 1032
The Online Registration shall finish of 28th of Feb 2017 till 11:59 pm. The candidates who are planning to Apply for the Constable posts must be curious to know as to what can be the Syllabus and Pattern for the Written Exam besides other Selection Criteria.
Haryana Police Recruitment Board Constable Post Exam Pattern and Syllabus-
The Selection Process shall involve – Physical Standard Test, Knowledge Test (KT), PET ( Physical Efficiency Test ) and Medical Test. Now the govt has scrapped the interview and now as per new system there shall be the written test of 90 marks and 10 marks for the candidates of belonging to some particular social and economic condition.
Physical Criteria for the Haryana Male Constables-
For the General Male Candidates –
The height must be 172 centimeters (chest with or without expansion 87 and 83 respectively).
For the Reserved categories –
The Height must be 169/85/81 centimeters respectively.
For Female Candidates –
For the female candidates, the height must be 160 and 157 Centimeters respectively.
Written Exam for Constable Recruitment 2017
There shall be the Written Exam of 100 Marks. All the questions shall be Multiple Choice Questions. There shall be no option for Negative Marking. The marks of the Written Exam shall be considered significant while making the final Merit List.

There shall be three parts of the Written Exam and they are –
General Knowledge and Current Affairs –
This topic will cover the candidates’ knowledge of Sports, Politics, Geography, Awards, Literature, Civics, Culture, Monuments, Important Places, Productions , Latest Happenings not only in the country and the world and also in the state.

Reasoning Ability –
The chief contents shall be – Analysis and Judgment, Relationship, Arithmetical Reasoning, Verbal and Non-verbal, Number Series, Venn Diagram, Assumptions etc. Click here for Question Paper of Reasoning Subject.
Numerical Ability –
There shall be the basic maths from 10th standard. The topics shall include – Work and Time, Simple and Compound Interest, Time and Distance, LCM and HCF, Percentage, Ratio and Proportion etc. Check your Mathematics Practice from here.
Haryana Police PST/ PET 2017-2018
Important Note – The Syllabus for Haryana Police Constable and Sub Inspector is same. The only difference is of nature of Questions. For Constable exam the questions will be easier than those of Sub Inspector.
- The Physical Activity ( PET ) will include Race and Jump.
The PET shall be of 20 Marks only. Only those candidates can participate in PET who have cleared PST. In the First Part, there shall be a 100 M race. In another Segment it shall be of 800 M race.
There shall be two types of Jumps –
Long Jump and High Jump.
- The long jump shall be of 15 feet or more with 5 Marks maximum.
- The High Jump will be of 4 or more feet of Maximum 5 Marks.
