This page consists all information or updates regarding Haryana Teachers' Eligibility Test. The aspirants who wish to take HTET are curious to know each and every minute updates related with this test. They haven't received any updates regarding this Eligibility Test for long time. So it is very obvious that they have got frustrated. And why must not they so ? This test is compulsory for everybody to become teachers ( school level) in the state.
There are three levels of HTET - Level 1 ( Primary Teachers), Level 2 ( TGTs) and Level 3 ( PGTs). The test contains 150 Objective Type Questions from General and Specific Subjects. You can read about HTET Syllabus / Pattern here. The candidates must get 60% ( 90 Marks ) to be eligible.
However, only passing this test doesn't entitle the candidates to grab teaching jobs. For that they will have to clear Screening Tests and Interviews or whatever procedure Haryana Govt adopts for Recruitment.
Hence the wait for HTET is quite natural. However, the state govt has not conducted this test for a long time. It has resulted a big crowd of the aspirants who wish to join teaching line as their career. It is note-worthy that no HTET had taken place in 2016.
HTET 2016 May take place in Nov 2017
Now as per the latest information, the Director Secondary Education, Haryana has sent a letter to the Secretary Board of School Education Haryana ( Bhiwani) regarding the conducting of HTET - 2016. The letter was circulated on 13th of Sept 2017. The letter talks about some changes in the structure, scheme and course content.
Besides, the sender has requested the receiver of the letter that HTET dates must be fixed as early as possible. As per the directions from Haryana and Punjab High Court, the govt is to conduct the Haryana TET in November 2017. However, the concerned dept has not fixed any date so far. Now after this letter it is clear that HTET may take place on any date in November 2017. Therefore, we may expect Haryana TET Notification very soon.
