This Common Proficiency Test ( CPT) is taken by the students after Senior Secondary Class. The Registration for this test starts after 10th class. This registration takes also place after 12th class.

The Pass Percentage in CA CPT is not very high. There is cut-throat competition to clear the test. From June 2013 CPT onward, a new rule was out in order to pass the CPT, an aspirant is must to secure, at one sitting, a minimum of 30% marks in each section and a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all sections.

The Test is expected to be taken by a large no of candidates. After clearing the test, the students may go for CA Course. The Tests shall take place in two shifts – Morning and Evening. Each of the sessions shall have two sections – Section A and Section B.
The Subject of Section A is Fundamentals of Accounting with 60 Maximum Marks and the candidates are to secure minimum 18 marks. The test shall commence on 10:30 am. The Section B is about Mercantile Laws with 40 Maximum and 12 Minimum Marks. Time of Exam is 12:30 pm. The Reporting time is 10:00 am.
The CA CPT Afternoon shift shall also have two sections – C and D. The subjects are General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude with maximum 50 marks and minimum 15 marks respectively. The Exams shall start at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm respectively. The Reporting Time is 1:30 pm. The total paper shall be of 200 Marks and minimum 100 marks are must for the candidates.
The CPT exam shall also take place Overseas ( UAE and Nepal ) on the same day. The Result may be out in July. As per our guess the CA CPT 2021-2022-2023.
