Management a process of dealing with or controlling things or people, is a skill and not everyone would like to take it up as a profession. A person who wants to become a manager or rather a person who is capable of controlling things or people, is required to possess certain characteristics and traits, which will help him/her in the process of doing that.

There are prestigious institutions in the country which can help an aspirant acquire all the needed skills. This article will help you get an insight into one such course called MBA (Master of Business Administration), examination (CAT) that can get admission to one of the top MBA colleges in India – getmyuni.com.

I was 18 when I got aware of MBA and since then I dreamt of joining one of the Top MBA offering colleges. When I started to get to know more about MBA and the entrance exams, I realized CAT (Common Admission Test) was the most important and popular exams in INDIA to get into the Top MBA offering Institutes. And also became aware of the competition involved in the examination and difficulty of clearing the examination.

But I never gave up, there was always more than one means that kept me motivated to take CAT (Common Admission Test) up as a challenge. My dad who is an alumni of one of the most prestigious B Schools of the country, would always tell me stories of his college experiences and how all that helped him becoming what he is today. Like for any other kid, my father was a Superhero to me, and would always follow his steps.

Why to do MBA- Must Read

To apply for CAT Exam the eligibility criterion was – a candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any stream from any recognized college or university. Any equivalent 10 +2 +3 qualification was the eligible for the candidates. All candidates had to have a minimum 50% marks for general category and 45% marks in case of SC, ST and PWD candidates in the qualifying examination.

Candidates appearing in the final year of any of the recognized qualifying exam or who have completed the degree requirements and waiting for the result were also eligible to apply. These were some basic criterion a candidate had to satisfy in order to take up CAT examination. These criterion change as years pass and I request the reader to get aware of it.

I knew CAT had a peculiar exam pattern and required enough dedication and practice for one to clear the exam with flying colors. All the coaching that I took, taught me that CAT exam tests a candidate on variety of grounds like Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning. CAT exam is particularly tough because the competition one faces from his/her peers. Also every CAT examination is taken up by more than 2.5 Lakh students. One can imagine the competition just by that.

CAT was/is a Computer Based Test (CBT) and total duration was 180 minutes (60 minutes was allotted for each section). The questions will be multiple choice type and subjective type. The question paper comprised of total 100 questions. Three marks was awarded for each correct answer. For multiple choice questions, one mark was deducted for a wrong answer and for question.
