The clouds of uncertainty are hovering over the upcoming Board Exams for the 10th and 12th Classes ( 1st Semester ) scheduled to be held from 30th and 29th of Sept respectively owing to the clash with the dates of Panchayat Elections for which the first polling will be held on 4th of October, second on 11th of October and the third on 18th of October. The whole Election Process will conclude by 31st of October.
The board exams will be held on 3rd of October, a day before the Panchayat Election, and 5th of October, a day after the 4th October Election. The teachers are expected to give the duties for both the exams and the elections.
Wazir Ghanghas, President of the Haryana Vidhyala Adhyapak Sangh, has alleged that in Haryana Education seemed to be the least priority. The teachers are given the Election Duties and the Head Masters will be the Presiding Officers of the Polling Booths.
The Haryana Board of School Education has already published the Date-sheets for the exams of both the classes. It is irony that there seems to be no co-ordination between the Haryana Govt and the Board Officials.
It is note-worthy that the Board Exams are already late by 10 to 15 days in the state and with the further delay in the Exams, there shall be the effect on the studies in the Second Semester. It seems as if the board officials have made the mockery of the education.
There should have been the pre-thought of the right dates of holding the Board exams. The students as well as the teachers are fed up with the syllabus of 1st Semester. There is now saturation. Still there is the uncertainly over the exam.
