Get Admission to Forensic Science – Universities, Scope, Eligibility

Essential Qualification –

For M.Sc Forensic Science or PG in FS, you need to have B.Sc or B.Pharma or MBBS. It is not compulsory that you possess UG in Forensic Science .

Scope of Forensic Science –

The Forensic Science experts are expected to work closely with the police to collect and provide scientific evidence at the court of law.

If the candidates have Master’s in FS, they can work in Govt Investigations Agencies such as Forensic Labs,Intelligence Bureau ( IB), Central Bureau of Investigation ( CBI), the CID, the CPO and other crime cells at Centre and State levels.

Job of a Forensic Science Expert –

He tries to find the nexus between the criminal and the crime. He does so by analyzing the material evidence such as hair, nails, blood, semen, etc found at the crime spot.

They collect DNA, match voice and do other things to get the clue of the crime.
