It is a good news for students studying 6th to 12th in govt. schools. The students who will stand first in their respected class will get scholarships under Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship Scheme. Under this scheme from 6th to 8th will get Rs. 1000 and 9th to 12th will get Rs. 1200.
To give this benefit of this scheme education department has released letter to the District Education Officer and District Elementary Education Officer. Through this letter we come to know that under Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship Scheme those students who will get 1st positions from 6th to 12th will be eligible for this scholarship ( one girl student and one boy student ).
The department has also written to District Education Officer and District Elementary Education Officer that they will upload the data of the eligible students at MIS portal. So that the students will get the benefit of this scheme. For uploading the data at MIS portal, the departmental IT cell has already made the link of the scheme available.
This is an encouraging scheme. Under this the intelligent students from 6th to 8th will get Rs. 1000 and from 9th to 12th will get Rs. 1200 as scholarships. If the school is co-ed the bay and the girl from each and every class will be eligible for this scholarship. If there is girls’ school every intelligent girl and in boys’ school every intelligent boy will receive this scholarship – said by Sushil Kumar Jain, District Education Officer, Jind.
