NEET Phase 1 had taken place in the month of May for a large no of Medical Aspirants. The case regarding NEET/ AIPMT was going on in the Supreme Court. The Union Govt wanted the NEET to be postponed for at least one year.
The States wanted their own tests in place on NEET for the Admission Procedure. The suspense kept hovering over the existence of NEET. Even the aspirants were in doubt about its existence. As a result, a large no of candidates couldn’t take the NEET1. Then NEET 2 took place and those who couldn’t take the Phase 1, took the Phase 2 test.
The Admission is the All India Test allowing the students to take admission to MBBS/ BDS courses in the Central Institutions and state Colleges. But the Apex Court has allowed one year exemption for the states. The state Governments can also make some amendment in the NEET Performance as per the Rules and Regulations on the issue.

The Admission for both NEET 1 and NEET 2 shall come in August. The future of the candidates shall depend upon the Cut Off Marks in the Written Exam. On the basis of the Performance in the NEET 1 and NEET 2, the candidates shall be given the Colleges and Admission.
