There is a pleasant news for thousands of youngsters of Uttar Pradesh as UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has released Advertisement Notice for more than 2500 Posts of Sub Inspectors ( SIs ) and around 34716 Posts of Constables ( Male and Female).
But for Applying Online for the posts the candidates will have to wait a bit longer. The Recruitment Notification has come out. Yes the online Registration will commence in Jan 2016. The aspirants are advised to read all the instructions and details before applying for these Sub Inspector Posts.
Details regarding UP Police Sub Inspector Posts Recruitment –
There are Two Thousand and Sixty Four Posts for both male and female candidates. The Seats for the male candidates are 1652 whereas for their Female Counterparts the seats are 412. For both the posts the Pay Grade is same i.e. 9300 – 34800 with Grade Pay of Rs 4200.
The Age Criteria for the SI Posts is between 21 and 28 as on 1st of July 2015. The Relaxation in Age Criteria for Reserved Castes shall be as per the Govt Rules. For Other Backward category it is 21 to 31 whereas for SC and ST categories it is 21 to 33.
Educational Criteria for UP SI Posts –
The Aspirants must possess Graduation degree in any of the streams with at least 50 % marks. The Graduation must be from any of the recognized institutions.
UPPRPB Sub Inspector Selection Criteria –
The Govt has made some changes in the Selection Process of Recruitment of SIs in the state. As per the New Rules, the selection Procedure will include only three parts i.e. Check detailed news about UP Police SI Posts PST /PET Schedule/Admit Cards.
- Document Verification and Physical Standard Test – This is the first step of the three. The candidates will have to get their Documents verified and then undergo the Physical Standard Test known as PST. It will include the checking of Height and Chest. For Male Candidates the height must be 168 cm whereas for the ST candidates it must be 160.
- For Female candidates it must be 152 and 147 for General and ST candidates respectively. Chest must be 79 Cm and 77 Cm for General and ST Male Candidates without expansion whereas 84 cm after expansion. Women are exempted from this procedure.
- Physical Efficiency Test ( PET ) – Those who will clear the first said obstacle will have to overcome the second hurdle called PET. In this segment of SI Selection, the candidates’ Physical Efficiency shall be checked. For that there shall be race for Male Candidates for which they will have to cover distance of 4.8 Kms in 28 Minutes where for Female Candidates it is 2.4 Kms in 16 Minutes.
Interview System has been scrapped as per the new Rules. Even PM Modi has also advocated for that.
Application Fee for UP SI Posts –
The candidates need to pay Rs 400/- without exemption for any of the categories. The applicants can pay this fee through various modes such as Internet Banking, e-challan etc.
